Shivay Waterfall – Explore The Unexplored

Shivay waterfall

“How you figure out how to keep up harmony among traveling and studies?” But I think The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page. Nothing will show you more than exploring the world. I was an engineering student and I used to do everything else except reading.

How To Reach

Shimla/Solan to Shoghi – Shoghi to Tara devi Road (1 km) – Tara Devi Road to Shivay Waterfall (3 km).

It was Sunday. Me and my friends were getting bored sitting in the room. I used to study at Bahra University Shimla hills. We had heard about the Shivay waterfall, this place became very famous during our college. This is one of the hidden waterfalls near Shimla. So we decided to go there.

It was about 15 km from our room. We had our breakfast and got ready. Around 9:30 am we took a bus from Wakhnaghat to Shoghi. After a 10 km bus journey. We walked 1 kilometer on Tara Devi Road. We reached the starting point around 10:15 am.

After that, we started going toward Shivay Waterfall. It’s about 3 km downstream to reach there. After passing the mountain and the bushes, we reached the waterfall. It took us only 1.5 hours to get there. We had a very nice shower and some nice pics. We stayed there for 2-3 hours. After that, we hike back to our place. Around 3:00 pm we reached Shoghi and had our lunch there.

There are still so many places on our planet that remain unexplored. I’d love to one day peel back the mystery and understand them. ~ Annie Leibovitz
